Adam Adelman is the Co-Founder and CEO of Mighty Cast, the company behind The NEX Band and its patent-pending base and token technology.
The goal of The NEX Band is to disrupt the wearable space and give power to the consumer to customize their smart band both on the inside and out through the company’s NEX collectible “mods.”
Founded in 2012, the company was recently awarded CMF’s highest monetary award, Engadget’s 2013 Reader’s Choice Award, and was a 2014 SXSW Finalist in the Accelerator Wearable Technology Competition.
The company has appeared in CNET, CBS, Mobile Syrup, Gamasutra, The Verge, among others. Prior to starting Mighty Cast, Adelman co-founded Juno Baby, a multiple Emmy Award winning line of children’s educational products which ranged from televised content, toys, publishing, apparel and mobile applications. Three of Juno Baby’s apps appeared in Apple’s Top 10 List and Time Magazine’s Top 25 iPad App List.
Before Juno Baby, Mr. Adelman had 13 years of experience as a New Media and Technology Analyst with various Hedge Funds and Investment Banks. His opinions have been cited in Time Magazine, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, Forbes, Fast Company and Venture Beat, among others.
Adelman is a frequent speaker on the merging of traditional media with new technologies as well as new business models for content. He has a CFA designation and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Originally from New York City, he now calls Montreal home.
